Behring Applied Technology is a consortium focused on human weaponry, situated on Terra (Terra III). Established in SEY 2554, Behring consists of numerous smaller research and development companies dedicated to creating a diverse range of products, including weapons and vehicles, primarily for defense applications. Their laboratories have played a significant role in the standardization of laser weapon systems, as well as advancements in computing technology, shield generators, missiles, personal arms, spacecraft armaments, and munitions. Several divisions of Behring are based in the Kilian system, where they engage in classified projects for the military of the United Empire of Earth (UEE).
